MN: Ibrahimovic pushing to play from start vs. Torino but it remains unlikely

By Isak Möller -

After what has been a few weeks of just bad news for Milan, they received a big boost today as Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered. The Swede, in fact, has been included in the squad for tonight’s clash.

As reported by MilanNews, the 39-year-old is pushing to play the game from start, having recovered from the injury he sustained back in November. However, it remains unlikely to see him from the first minute this evening.

He will have to settle for the bench, and perhaps a performance off the bench, as Stefano Pioli doesn’t want to risk his condition. Rafael Leao is in pole position to start up front, with Samu Castillejo, Brahim Diaz and Jens Petter Hauge supporting him.

The game is scheduled for 20:45 CET and it’s a perfect opportunity for the Rossoneri to get back to winning ways, following the loss against Juventus. In fact, their reaction to this will be very important.
