MN: Ibrahimovic to report for preseason one day before rest of the squad as recovery continues

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to be in the best possible shape ahead of the new season so he will report for preseason a day early, a report claims.

A statement on the club’s official website last month confirmed that Ibrahimović underwent arthroscopic surgery of the left knee at the UPMC Salvator Mundi International Hospital in Rome.

The Swede damaged his knee in Milan’s win over Juventus towards the end of the season, which sparked fears as to whether he could be set for another long spell away from the game, but his recovery is now underway and he is expected to be running again in the next few weeks.

MilanNews writes that Milan’s preseason will officially begin on Thursday with the meeting of the squad and the usual press conference from head coach Stefano Pioli. Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, will show up at Milanello one day early as the Swede will arrive tomorrow at the training complex to continue his therapies.
