MN: Ibrahimovic unlikely to be available against Juventus – Maignan recovers from stamp

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is unlikely to be able to call upon Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Sunday’s game against Juventus.

MilanNews reports that Ibrahimovic is in strong doubt for Sunday night’s match in Turin because the pain he has in his left Achilles tendon is still inflamed. Everything depends on when the tendon is completely free from inflammation and it is not worth taking any more risks, so Pioli will have to choose who between Olivier Giroud, Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao.

It is possible that there is a relay between Giroud and Rebic depending on the fitness of the Frenchman, as per the report. Everything is ok regarding Mike Maignan meanwhile, who will start against the Bianconeri.

The French goalkeeper was one of the best on the pitch at Anfield and he has recovered from the stomp received by Theo at the end of the first half.
