MN: Incoming Milan owners want to build a new stadium without Inter – the latest

The current intention of AC Milan’s incoming owners Elliott Management is to build a new stadium without Inter, according to a report.

Inter and Milan have been attempting to build a new stadium on the current site at San Siro for many years but various bureaucratic processes have delayed the project significantly.

It seems that RedBird wish to address the issue very quickly and Gerry Cardinale has already spoken to the mayor of Sesto San Giovanni, an area of Milan that could be used for a stadium as an alternative site.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, RedBird’s intention at the moment is to build a new state of the art facility that is exclusively for Milan, therefore without the Nerazzurri.

Moreover, they intend to build it on the site of Sesto San Giovanni where Cardinale visited as it would likely have less hurdles before ground could be broken. Given the emphasis on increasing revenue streams, it is clear a new stadium is a matter of urgency.

  1. Why share a stadium. It is 2022 and 2 of the biggest clubs in the world stil think thats a way to close the gap to the rest. If you share the stadium that means you share everything.
Milan should have their own Stadium when this when its finished in 20+ years

  2. Yes!!!
Milan should have its own stadium. Forget Inter.
Other big clubs from the same city play in separate stadiums.
    Juventus -Torino
    R Madrid – Atletico
    Barca – Espanol
    ManUtd – ManCity
    Liverpool – Everton
All those 100 London clubs have their own stadiums
Anyway Inter financial situation will only continue to delay the build of the stadium. Leave them behind

  3. My man Gerry is not messing about, single stadium for Milan, the who’s who of the sporting and entertainment world getting involved and backing us, and everyone worth over a billion wants to get a piece of that Milan pie.

  4. IF true would be the single best ”transfer” (so to to speak) that Redbird could make (arguably in the history of the club) to ensure the long term economic and sporting success of the club. Look at what it’s done for Juve. If we had their $ with M&M leading the way – we would rival Europes top clubs IMO. Let us pray this is true and if so done as soon as possible.

    1. If this is true, can we then go back to the article where you were insulting and laughing at those who believe Elliott did the right thing by selling to Redbird instead of Investcorp? I said days ago I expected the sale would be backed by a new stadium and the possibility is very high this will eventually happen. I know it’s still a big IF but maybe you can now start actually apreciating other people’s opinion instead of only thinking you’re the one who knows it all.

      1. Are you still upset because I called you out on your moronic statements in the past LOLOLO?? Like I said “IF” and you just agreed “IF”….Iets see what actually happens and IF /when it does. Also just because you own your own stadium doesn’t mean you will spend money on improving the team (see Sassuolo & Udinese you donkey) – so lots of work left to do and more years before that happens. One step at a time but very positive IF it happens. We will see

        1. You still can’t stop insulting people. And apparently you haven’t read my last reply to your ‘comment where you called me out for moronic statements’. What you said is simply not proven either and you fail to give any proof. You just give some numbers and claim they’re correct. In the mean time you give your own statements a little twist with ‘IF’. Redbird doesn’t have a penny and will get us nowhere was your last comment. Let’s talk later when things unfold further. In the mean time keep insulting people. It really improves your credibility.

  5. For a long time i hated and opposed the idea of us moving away from san siro but the sesto san giovanni B plan kinda intrigues me and especially if we build a stadium for only us capitalizing on the fact that we can rent out the stadium for concerts and events when inter otherwise would occupy our stadium,
We could also build a 3rd lockeroom reserved especially for internazionale with draining sewage pipes 😀
Kidding aside we really should build a stadium bigger than the 55-60000 planned one and instead build something in the vicinity of 70-75000 seats.

    1. I agree.
If AC Milan is back on track winning trophies then we definitely need a stadium of at least 70-75000 seats.
      Look at us now.
      Every game is sold out.

      1. exatly
i get that there is some hype currently as we are serie a champions after 11 years of wait but if f we can fill up the stadium against bologna of all teams and we plan to further exceed as a team and strive towards the stars then we really should consider if 55-60.000 stadium isnt too small a staium for us. At least it would seem so to me.
