There could be a bit of a surprise in the AC Milan starting line-up for tomorrow’s game against Liverpool in Dubai, according to a report.
Tomorrow’s Dubai Super Cup game will see two fierce European rivals face off against each other as Milan play Premier League side Liverpool, hoping for a better result than the 2-1 defeat against Arsenal on Tuesday.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Marko Lazetic is a serious candidate for a starting spot leading the line, meaning he would get the nod over ex-Liverpool striker Divock Origi up front.
Lazetic came on in the closing stages of the game against the Gunners earlier in the week and scored a cheeky Panenka in the shootout that followed the 90 minutes, which also ended in a victory for Arsenal who gained the bonus point as per the Super Cup rules.
The Serbian striker continues to be linked with a potential loan move in January, but a start against Liverpool and an impressive performance might just change the minds of the management.
It seems that the he really deserves to get get some opportunities.
Anyone but Origi
While Lazetic deserves more playing time, the fans needs to be careful with their expectations. Giving a lot of pressure to a 18 years old kid like Lazetic is dangerous especially if he can’t perform.
