AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to rotate some players in the next two league games given the hectic nature of the fixture schedule.
After starting the season with games against Bologna, Torino, Roma, Inter and Newcastle United, Milan have two simpler games on paper against Verona (Saturday at 3pm) and Cagliari (Wednesday 27th at 6:30pm).
According to MilanNews, Pioli could rest both Olivier Giroud and Rafa Leao alternately during the two games, meaning that one would start one game on the bench while the other plays, and then they would flip.
Both have played in all five of Milan’s official matches up to this point from the first minute and with the calendar getting thicker they need to get their breath back.
It will also be an opportunity to give more playing time to those who have played less, especially the new signings Noah Okafor and Luka Jovic, who have only played fragments of games off the bench so far.
I hope they both perform and not just them Musah and Chuk. Hopefully Luka can get some minutes too.
I personally hope both Giroud and leao play against Verona ,and then get a complete rest in the next game …..I say this as I expect us to beat Verona by 3 or 4 clear goals ,,.that is if they both start …
Maybe after we are winning ,,then make the substitutions…Yes of course changes have to made , will all the fixtures that occur every few days ..
I would love Musah to start also the game against Verona …We have lost one game to inter ,,but we will still challenge for the scuddeto…poili is aware that changes have to be made …
Why not rest both of them for the Verona and Cagliari game. Noah Okafor and Jovic is good enough to start against Verona and Cagliari.
Pioli should start Okafor, Jovic, Chukwueze, and Musah for both Verona and Cagliari games. Smh
Rest them both – bench needs minutes. Or start Leao, get a lead, then bring in Okafor to the LW and Jovic as CF.
