MN: Leao to sign Milan renewal on Friday – the terms of his new deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Tomorrow is the day that AC Milan should formally announce the extension of Rafael Leao’s contract, according to a report.

After being reportedly close for a couple of weeks now, the big day has finally arrived. MilanNews confirm that tomorrow afternoon Leao will sign a new contract with Milan to officially extend with the Rossoneri until 2028.

The Portuguese will sign a deal worth €5m net per season plus bonuses, making him the highest paid player in the team, and there will be an increase in his release clause from the previous €150m up to €175m.

All the updates will be on our site tomorrow as Leao is expected to arrive at Casa Milan in the afternoon following the training session at Milanello.

He will put pen to paper on his new contract, then there will be the customary photos and announcement of a renewal which is a very positive statement for the Rossoneri.

  1. Thank you leao. Whether you plan on leaving soon at least you signed so we wouldn’t lose you for a cheaper price or free. I’d like to have you for many more years and make a push for trophies too!

  2. The truth is that he may leave if we don’t show signs that we want to win trophies. Instead of going for “sure” players , we are just gambling here and there. Imagine going for Cheeks from Chelsea who has been battling with injury. Pioli will carry the can when he chooses wrong players. Add Pobega with 20K and get SMS with 10% future sales.
Without Leao, our attackers and midfielders can’t score . SMS will give us goals.

  3. Hahahaha. Good one Oliver.
Yesterday you said his signature would arrive in a few hours.
Go ahead and delete my comment again.

  4. Where are all the looser Leao haters at?????? Come on you know who you are Mr @bb to name one??? LOL. The one who said we should sell our most valuable asset for 40M??? Hahahahaha!! Those who said he was “greedy”???? Where u at now??? Idiots! Signing Leao to a 5M/season plus bonuses AND increasing his release clause to 175M is GENIUS by Maldini and Massara. Did you hear that @Pioli??? LOL. All of you dip$hits should thank Leao for staying and signing a below market deal and ensuring we get a fat transfer fee when we sell him in a few more seasons. Forza Milan

      1. LOL kid. Read Fabrizio Romano. Will be done tomorrow. And if I was a fan boy I wouldn’t say to sell him in a few years donkey. I’d say to keep him forever. Wake up idiot

        1. so youre not a leao fan boi? what was the point of your comment then?
trying to call out people on something but ended up looking like a m0r0n.

      2. So it’s the 5th or 6th consecutive Friday that “Leao will sign”?

And yes, if you look at the word “fanboi” in dictionary there’s a picture of the 13-year-old Juro kissing a poster of his favorite player in the world. I bet his bed sheets are covered with Leao’s face too.

    1. @Juro PTSD from Maldini’s contract negotiations and his competence in getting the deal done will do that to you.
Anyone who was saying that Leao should be sold, was probably saying that not because they don’t think Milan should keep Leao but because they were scared that Maldini will lose him for free. Because that’s what Maldini does, loses our most valuable assets for free. That’s his M.O. But, the fanboyism doesn’t allow you to understand that.
And, you seem to neglect the fact that the CEO Furlani is the reason this deal gets done, not the “geniuses” Maldini and Massara.
Thank you Mr. Furlani for saving us from another embarrassment.

  5. I’m gonna wait until the ink is dry on the contract before I celebrate. If this happens, it will be Maldini’s best achievement since renewing Theo. I hope he continues on this path this summer.

    1. LOL. Kid pulls out Furlani LOLOLOLOLO who just took So let me get this straight. IF we sign a good player or renew one it because of Frulani. But if we sign a bad one or fail or renew the it’s on Maldini LOL. How CONVENIENT. The only embarrassment is you and your silly rants about you Maldini and your fanboy love of Ownership lol. Furlani? Hahahahahahaha!

      1. What are you on about?
He may have agreed terms but nothing is official yet!
Why would the club be waiting to announce?

Clearly his renewal was dependent on getting CL football. Much like signing Kamada. These guys want CL!!

  6. If I see 1 more article about Leao deal is done, he’s about to sign, after the CL etc etc bla bla bla.
Honestly he needs to learn how to pick up a pen and write his name or f off.
He could try running once in a while too!

    God what a boring saga

    1. “He could try running once in a while too!”

He won’t be doing that for a mere 1.5M€. I bet even 5M€ will not motivate him to do that…
