MN: Loftus-Cheek, Calabria and Sportiello all present at Milanello – their plans

With the international break coming to a welcomed close, AC Milan are beginning to prepare for their next Serie A fixture – a home fixture against Udinese on Saturday.

The final international games are taking place, and this means that Paulo Fonseca should have his full squad available to him in the next few days – of course, without those players who remain sidelined through injury.

Training took place, as usual, today with the additions of some returning internationals – most notably, Christian Pulisic and Matteo Gabbia, as reported by Milan News. Other players of note who were present at Milanello today were Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Davide Calabria and Marco Sportiello.

At present, the Englishman is furthest along his recovery plan and is close to returning to the pitch after a flexor issue. Today, he took to training on the pitch, and featuring in this weekend’s game looks like a real possibility.

For the two Italians, the training differed slightly. Starting with the captain, Calabria worked on the sidelines, and Sportiello is still adding to his workload, following his recovery plan. However, both should return to the squad shortly.

Samuel Chukwueze also returned to the training ground, but this is to undergo medical assessments after his new injury.
