MN: Maignan and Tomori train with Milan squad again but Giroud needs another scan

By Oliver Fisher -

Some mixed injury news has arrived from today’s training session ahead of Sunday’s game at home against Sassuolo, a journalist has claimed.

According to the latest from Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews on Twitter, the scan on Olivier Giroud has confirmed that he picked up a muscle problem in his left leg and the player will be re-evaluated in 10 days, which stacks up with earlier reports suggesting he is facing around a month out.

The Frenchman went off during the second half of Milan’s win against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night and was clutching his thigh, which made it apparent he was in some discomfort.

He goes on to add that Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori worked with the rest of the squad and therefore are likely to be available for the visit of the Neroverdi this weekend. Maignan has trimmed around four weeks off his estimated recovery time therefore, while Tomori has overcome a hip issue.
