There has been a lot of talk about Mike Maignan and potential interest arriving from abroad, but AC Milan plan to resolve his future soon.
According to Pietro Mazzara’s report for MilanNews, Maignan was one of the first to receive a call from Giorgio Furlani following the sacking of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, with the CEO explaining the plans for the project moving forward.
Maignan, like Rafael Leao, is one of the top players who influence the team and it is for this reason that there are already ongoing discussions regarding the work that the goalkeeping department will have to do for the 2023-24 season.
Marco Sportiello will be the deputy to Maignan and Antonio Mirante should renew to stay as the third choice. Then if one day a Premier League club arrives offering Maignan €8-8.5m net per year and offers Milan €80-90m, things might change.
However, that moment has not yet arrived and it is not certain that it will arrive.

It’s OK. I’ll just take a deep breath and will be ready when that moment comes. Lol.
