The announcement of two key new figures at AC Milan is drawing ever closer, according to multiple reports in the Italian press.

It emerged on Monday night via Gianluca Di Marzio that Frederic Massara is the man who has been chosen by Paolo Maldini as the Rossoneri’s new sporting director.

MilanNews.it offers an update on the situation by claiming that Massara will hold talks with Milan officials on Tuesday evening, during which a final agreement should be reached.

Meanwhile, Marco Giampaolo is then expected to meet with Maldini and co. on Friday to finalise his move to San Siro from Sampdoria.

The Switzerland-born technician is the man who has been picked to succeed Gennaro Gattuso, who left his position following the final game of last season.
