MN: Messias forced off with sprained ankle during friendly win against Vicenza

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan suffered a double injury blow during their friendly win against Vicenza this evening as Junior Messias also went off with a problem.

There was a moment of worry early in the second half as Sandro Tonali pulled up and then limped off straight down the tunnel with what was clearly a muscle problem, and there are doubts about whether he will be fit enough to face off against Udinese in one week.

Three minutes before the hour mark, Messias became the latest to make his way off with an ankle injury, and Alexis Saelemaekers came on to replace him. According to what is being reported by MilanNews, the Brazilian is dealing with a sprain trauma to his right ankle.

Again we must await news regarding the severity of the sprain and how long he is facing out, but it would be another blow if he were not available for the Udinese game, especially given his four goals in preseason.

    1. Milan has one of the largest squad in Serie A. Even when Messias injured, there are CDK, Saelemaekers, and Florenzi. Even when Tonali injured, there are Pobega and Krunic.

Even Pioli talked up the midfield as Milan’s strength, specifically mentioning Pobega and Krunic who he believed are being unfairly underestimated by the likes of you.
If you disagree with him, why don’t you apply to replace him?

      1. Yeah.. i assume, the main problem is with the half-ass fans that only know how to say negative things. I dont know what theeir brains consist of. Wouldnt it be better if they emptied it rather than have poops or sh**ts?

        1. Your an idiot just like @Yelnata24 and @Gre-No-Li ($hit). We need more depth. Pioli said as much. Need a CB and DM. Ppl on here think they know more than M&M and the coach LOL. What a joke. These ppl are embarrassing. If they were content with Krunic, Poegba and Bakayoko in mid and with Gabbia in defense M&M would STILL not be looking for players lol. It’s pretty simple. Are you that fkn dumb you don’t get it? these morons think they know more than M&M. Comical.

          1. Pioli said Pobega and Krunic are strength of the team yet you continue to belittle them.

Serie A also has homegrown restriction yet you continue to belittle me for revealing it. You continue to insist Milan to sign players that can’t be registered without removing other players which means will not add depth. That speaks of how idiotic and ignorance you are.

  1. Please lab or laptops this should be our problem again, u guys saw this injury hurt our team last season, I think we need more quality depth, besides why if there’s suspension on key player or players? Please Management manage our beloved team well.

    1. Last season, Milan proved that the squad they have are depth enough to cope for injury.

Honestly speaking, last season Milan do not have the best starting eleven in Serie A. The reason Milan win the scudetto was consistency because even when missing starting players, the bench step up to fill their shoes. The runner-up meanwhile cannot cope with injury or suspension as the gap between quality of their starting players and their bench is too wide.

  2. I don’t think it will be proper to rush CDK to action. This is Serie A! Even “Ronaldinho” complained when he joined us. I’ll suggest Alexis starts, atleast he understands the league better, then CDK comes in.
