MN: Milan advancing rapidly on several fronts with new Musah push imminent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pushing to complete another midfield signing after Tijjani Reijnders who is due for his medical tomorrow, according to a report.

MilanNews writes that the management of Milan are hard at work to close another midfield signing in as quick a time as possible given that the squad leave for their tour of the United States in four days.

The Rossoneri are in fact expected to accelerate quickly to try and find an agreement with Valencia over Yunus Musah, who is seen as the right name to potentially complete the department after Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Milan have had an agreement with the 20-year-old USA international for some time over personal terms and are now working with the LaLiga club to try and bring him in ASAP.

Antonio Vitiello’s report ends with the rather exciting line that Milan are ‘advancing rapidly on the market on several fronts’.

  1. Alright close him and go all-in for a striker. Pulisic can play RW and Saelemaekers is still here. We often point the fact that Kessié was a missing part from the scudetto team, but let’s not forget that Giroud was our only striker last year. During the scudetto’s campaign, Zlatan provided some goals and assists that were missing last year from himself, Origi, Rebic.

So if Musah or Ruben can replace Kessié efficiently, if Reijnders can replace Tonali efficiently, if Pulisic is good as a versatile player replacing Diaz/Messias (Florenzi can rotate at RW also) and if we find a prolific striker, let’s say Taremi, we could be fine. That’s a lot of ifs however.

    1. I agree, they have their work cut out, new league, new country, new team and tactics. Serie A is not the easiest game to adapt to. New role for Pulisic, he hasn’t been a game to game starter in many seasons and is coming off injuries. RLC as well. With Bennacer injured, we need to shore up some spots in the lineup soon. Maignan also has to stay healthy. Don’t know if Sportielllo is as gifted for playing the ball with his feet. But Mike saved a lot of yards and helped keep our defensive line ininn advanced position. That saves a lot of yards for players over a season. The World Cup during the season was brutal on us as well.

Kessie covered a lot of ground and played his role in all phases of the game very well. To substitute him by committee is a tough ask.

Adding more goals is imperative. 10 to 15 more would have put us in a better position. Zlatan was also crucial in build up play as well. Very underated for his distribution skills, his ability to draw players toward him and win those battles was lacking as well last season.

  2. I will LOL when we sign 3-4 more players when some on here will claim we can’t sign anymore players. Budget is more than you think. We made a lot last season in the CL too

    1. My friend if you have exclusive insight from Casa Milan such as the budget, just don’t LOL and share your knowledge with us. Impressive confidence for someone who is just posting comments with no facts at all when many paid journalists reported a budget of approximately 35M before Sandro’s sale.

      1. Some were absolutely convinced after Reijnders we were done signing anyone because they thought only the money we made from Tonali’s sale was it. No, 35 million was a rumor not conclusive. You are delusional.

        1. We had to rebuild the midfield and find a striker, so of course it’s the focus. For other moves, we’ll probably have to sell in order to raise money and make room for new signees.

And yeah I would rather trust several reports from different sources and different professional journalists who are paid for a living because of their access to insiders and their abilities to find and analyse informations than some random guy trying to start a war in every comment section, but that’s on me, I’m delusional.

          1. Journalists have been wrong too many times to count in recent years when it comes to Milan, so excuse me for being skeptical. Lol. Trying to start a war. I leave that to you guys. You argue more with each other than me.

Also you could just keep scrolling but decided to reply.

      2. ACM have same budget like maldini used last season 50m euro + sales player. But we use 20m euro already to pay sporting , thats make leao can renew and that was the reason why journalist say we have 30m euro + sale player. If we sign yunus , then our last budget will go to just one RW or one striker. We can get more budget if success sell caldara, rebic, origi ,ballo toure, junior but that will hard
