MN: Milan aiming for the Scudetto with great courage – the stats attest

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have started this season extremely well with 16 points after six games, despite a few tricky games. Yesterday, they got their revenge as they beat Spezia 2-1 away from home, confirming their spot at the top.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the Rossoneri have collected 16 points in the first six league games for only the third time in the three-point-per-win era (2003/04 and 2020/21). This alone shows just how well Milan have done in the last two seasons.

Last time out, they finished in second place but this year, Milan are aiming for the Scudetto. The win against Spezia, which is regarded as a tricky fixture, Stefano Pioli’s men acted with great courage despite the young average age.

The manager relied on those who were available and ready, which paid off in the end. The three points were absolutely crucial as Milan now will face Atletico Madrid and then Atalanta. A confidence boost was healthy, therefore.
