MN: Milan working on signing of Montpellier striker ahead of January

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could sign a centre-forward during the January transfer window and there is a profile in Ligue 1 that is attracting the interest of Geoffrey Moncada, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, Milan could intervene in the winter transfer window not only to sign a central defender – given the injuries that have occurred in the department – but also a striker too.

A name followed by the management with great interest is that of Akor Adams, a Nigerian striker who is currently at Montpellier and is in second place in the Ligue 1 scoring charts with seven goals.

The player has been the subject of positive reports from scouts and Moncada really likes him. It is a name that the club are already working on for the January transfer window.

Adams joined Norwegian side Sogndal from Jamba Football Academy in Nigeria five years ago, then left in 2021 and signed as a free agent for Lillestrøm. He made the move to France in August of this year, and it has so far proven to be a successful addition.

  1. I read “Moncada really likes him” on every report for every talent Milan is reportedly interested in.

What about our coach, what does he like? Maybe Moncada should take over coaching as well. Furlani can be occupy fitness staff role.

    1. Come on Ted. We all know they are working in harmony now that Maldini is gone. They’re a super group. Pioli is at the centre of the project and apparently is working with Furlani and Moncada waaaaaaaay better than before so he’s getting the players he wants, like Jovic and Chukwueze, and Romero and Pellegrino 😁

  2. Getting someone unproven and unfamiliar with Serie A won’t help. Furthermore, the main problem is service. Our forwards feed off scraps. When we fix that, Okafor (not sure if he is a striker of winger at this point) will score, Jovic will score, and Giroud has proven he can score. We offer very little threat from midfield and set-pieces so investing in players that can help with that makes more sense.

    1. You know my amigo. Kvaratskhelia was also unproven and unfamiliar in serie a and it worked out just fine for napoli. 4 example.
Our mids can make traffic they just need a coach that will get that out of them.
Getting a striker, while they’re still somewhat cheap is essential. Such a shame šeško didn’t choose Milan at the time.

  3. Scoring goals in French league does not mean you will score goals in serie A, when will Moncada wake up and realise that.
Why take the risk with unproven when you can look closer to home !!
Put faith in Colombo with Giroud as mentor and back up!!!!
