MN: Milan and Man Utd locked in talks over defender as player expresses his desire

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Manchester United are in active negotiations over the future of full-back Diogo Dalot who the Rossoneri would reportedly like to keep.

Dalot joined Milan last summer on a season-long dry loan and made 33 appearances for the Rossoneri across all competitions, being used both as a left-back and in his more natural position of right-back by head coach Stefano Pioli who clearly appreciated his versatility.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Dalot has made it clear that his wish is to stay at Milan, who want to borrow him for another season. However, there is an obstacle because for the moment Manchester United are not open to the idea of a new loan.

Instead, the Premier League club would like to monetise from the possible sale of the Portuguese full-back in order to raise some funds. Despite this, the two clubs will continue to negotiate to try to find an agreement.

  1. Loan him, buy him, I don’t care. Kid is obviously talented and hard working, and most of all a Milanista. What more do you need.
