MN: Milan, Arsenal and Newcastle watch on as Valladolid starlet can leave for €15m

AC Milan are already planning for next season and what signings they will make in the summer. Compared to last year, they want to be more prepared and one of the players on their list is Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda.

Being just 18 years old, Fresneda has attracted a lot of interest from abroad after a very successful season thus far. He has played the last eight games in full and Milan’s scouting department have been following the right-back for quite some time.

According to MilanNews, Milan are indeed interested but face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle, as well as Juventus in Italy. Fresneda has a release clause of €40m but that will decrease if Valladolid were to get relegated.

Regardless of the clause, as the report continues, Vallodolid will not stand in Fresneda’s way and would part ways for around €15m. This is still a significant figure for such a young player but by no means outrageous.

Furthermore, within three seasons at the club, Fresneda would also become ‘academy trained’. This would be really helpful for Milan when naming the squad for European competitions.
