MN: Milan at risk of impoverishing good work – they must become sharks on the market

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are at risk of undoing their good work unless they become more predatory on the market with regards to negotiating over players.

MilanNews reports how the Rossoneri management have run into difficulties securing the renewal of Franck Kessie and are at risk of losing him on a free transfer, just as they may with other key players such as Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer unless they change their renewal strategy to be more proactive.

The other point on which the Milan directors must improve, the report writes, is to act exactly as the other teams do with them. An example might be to snatch Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma given that he has an expiring contract, has not yet renewed, is one of the best Italian midfielders and could be an attacking midfielder with quality and different skills to Brahim Diaz.

Milan have to start becoming sharks and more operational on the market, otherwise the risk of impoverishing what has been done in recent years is always around the corner, MilanNews concludes.

  1. The Milan Management are not proactive at all, it’s still the worse management in the history of the club in terms of player negotiation and contract renewals.

Waiting for so called last minute opportunity that back fired and at the end of the day settling for junior mesaias (No offense to junior, he’s an exciting player) that don’t fit plans of Elliot management.

We have lost countless opportunities to get players due to embarrassing difference in negotiation price.

Lost Sbozlozai to Leipzig, Chiesa to Juventus, Kabak to Liverpool and a host of others.

Football is rapidly changing as can be seen with PSG, Man City and co with the huge sums they put down in buying players. The danger is that you loose your quality players to these clubs because players want more money, and that’s the bitter truth. No player wants to play for fun or free.

I just don’t know when we get off the hook of UEFA and its crazy FFP rules

I know Elliot has the money to return Milan back to its glory days but are being handicapped by UEFA

    1. LOL. So Mirabelli & Fassone did better? 😀
Look at the players they bought in for 200(!!!)M€! Even if they did renew Gigio it doesn’t make ammends to the 200M€ wasted.
