MN: Milan dealt more bad news as Rebic sustains knee injury at interval of Inter-Milan

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic remained on the bench during AC Milan’s game against Inter this evening, despite the fact that his competitor Rafael Leao didn’t have that much success on the left flank. Now the reason has been revealed.

The Croatian, who has had more injuries than goals this season, can now add another one to his tally. And we are not talking about a goal. According to MilanNews, he sustained a knee injury during the half-time warm-up tonight.

More tests will be carried out by the medical staff tomorrow and it remains to be seen if it was anything serious, or just a precaution from Stefano Pioli. It’s clear, however, that it would be the worst possible timing for an injury.

Rebic has had a tough season, there’s no doubt about it, but the last few games had been promising. Therefore, it would be good to have him available especially considering Leao’s struggles as well.

  1. Just sell him. I love his grinta, goals and contribution when he fit. But this season he never was. Sell him while he still has some value in him and his contract length still in our favor, buy traore from Sassuolo or Noa Lang that can cover both wings and CAM.
The team is improving rapidly, we need players that can grow with it, not pull it backwards

  2. give me some players that have shown their durability…….we can never get any chemistry between players when who the hell knows who is starting must less able to play

  3. Injury yourself during the warm up? LMAO!

Thanks for the past few years, but the door is now open for Rebic to leave.

  4. Just sell him or loan him with option to buy. Buy noa Lang or Dominik szobalai that can play LW and AMF ( cost each of them only 20-30m euro with salary 3m euro/years nett)
