MN: Milan believe in Bartesaghi but will try sign left-back on a free

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have great faith and confidence in Davide Bartesaghi but they are still expected to try and sign a new left-back, according to a report.

According to Antonio Vitiello’s latest for MilanNews, Milan are satisfied with Bartesaghi’s progress to the extent that he was handed his Serie A debut at the age of just 17 at San Siro on Saturday afternoon.

It is a dream come true for the Primavera graduate, and Stefano Pioli clearly sees a lot of potential in the teenager given his decision to keep him in the first team squad after preseason and to put him on in a one-goal game.

However, what filters is that Milan will try to sign Juan Miranda from Real Betis on a free transfer. The LaLiga club are trying to renew his contract but they have not succeeded at the moment. There are also other European clubs ready to invest in Miranda.

    1. Just typical media reporting on the transfer market where there is no logic, scrutiny or consistency.

Presumably we’re still far enough away from January to be operating at 90% transfer speculation so we’ll see what happens closer to the window.

  1. No thanks, stay in Spain, we don’t need him, trust in Bartesaghi, about time we stuck with our homegrown talent and stopped looking at these randomers from abroad
