Samu Castillejo is seemingly getting closer to a move this month, having been linked with it ever since the summer window. And the winger has now made his preference clear to AC Milan.
According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, there have been talks with Sampdoria in the last few days over a move. However, Castillejo would like to return to Spain and La Liga, having left Villarreal to join Milan back in 2018.
The likes of Espanyol and Real Betis have been linked with the winger in the past and they remain interested, as per the reporter. As already mentioned, there isn’t loads of time left of the transfer window and the next few days will be very interesting.
Milan need to sell Castillejo for around €6m to avoid a capital loss, which doesn’t sound like an impossible task. The Spaniard may not be the best plater in the squad, but he has a contract until 2023 and has had some good moments this season.
