MN: Milan close to announcing loan exit for promising young midfielder – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Tommaso Pobega is closing in on a loan move to Serie A newcomers Spezia, according to a report.

Milan confirmed last month that they had agreed a new deal with Pobega until 2025, after a season in which he amassed six goals and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for Pordenone. It represented a three-year extension for Pobega as his previous deal was due to run out in 2022.

MilanNews then reported on Sunday that Pobega has been observed at Milanello over the past few days and weeks, and Milan have decided to let him go on loan to find playing time. There are several interested clubs, the report adds, but the management are determined to loan him to a Serie A side.

According to the latest from the same source, Milan will get their wish as newly-promoted Spezia are one step away from confirming the signing of Pobega on a season-long dry loan.
