MN: Milan confident of closing Reijnders deal for less than €20m after latest talks

AC Milan are closing in on the signing of Tijjani Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar and are hoping to reach an agreement soon, a report claims.

The Reijnders news accelerated last night, when Fabrizio Romano among others reported that negotiations are very advanced after Milan submitted a bid worth €19m and believe that a deal could be closed somewhere around the €20m mark.

According to the latest from MilanNews, there have been new contacts for Reijnders and Milan want to conclude the operation with AZ Alkmaar as soon as possible.

The 24-year-old Dutchman is a player considered useful for multiple roles in midfield and is someone that Stefano Pioli strongly approves of.

An economic meeting point remains to be found but it is not far away and Milan are confident of being able to close the operation for less than €20m, as per the report.

Reijnders amassed 8 goals and 11 assists last season, which was enough to earn him AZ Alkmaar’s player of the season award and get a Netherlands call-up.
