MN: Milan could sell five players to finance more signings – an update on each situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to proceed with some sales before they can work on the incoming market, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how after spending over €40m on Maignan and Tomori, Milan are in a phase of reflection and the next moves are being planned carefully with each operation evaluated. Five players in particular could leave the club, with an update on each.

Rafael Leao: Leao has trust of the coach and management, who consider him a talented player who still has a lot to give, but if offer of €25-30m were to arrive it could be seriously considered, with teams in England, Germany and France keen.

Jens Petter Hauge: He arrived last summer for about €4m euros from Bodo/Glimt but could leave as he is at the bottom of Pioli’s left wing pecking order. The Norwegian has several admirers in Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg above all, and he could go for €15m.

Andrea Conti: After spending the last six months on loan at Parma, the full-back’s future is set to be away from the Rossoneri. Genoa and Sampdoria are interested, but so far there is nothing concrete.

Mattia Caldara: Caldara will return to Milan after 18 months on loan at Atalanta, who decided not to exercise their option to buy. Several enquiries have arrived including from abroad, but the Rossoneri first want to evaluate him in preseason.

Tommaso Pobega: He had an excellent season on loan at Spezia and Atalanta are seriously pursuing him, while Milan would sell for €15m. He can leave if the right offer arrives, with plenty of clubs circling.

Samu Castillejo: The Spaniard is also considered surplus to requirements and while some enquiries have come from Spain, no concrete proposals have arrived.

  1. Conti, Caldara and Samu: sell as soon as possible
Leao: sell only if a great offer arrives
Pobega and JPH: Keep at all cost, future star players, don’t lose control over them. Even if Pobega doesn’t fit into our system, who knows what system we will be playing in 1 or 2 years time. I think they are one season from exploding if they get enough game time that is.

  2. You can tell us from what sources you got this, you are the big liar who wrote this. Jens Petter Hauge, Tommaso Pobega and Rafael Leao are not leaving AC.Milan, unless someone pays 35 million for Leao, Milan has resolutely rejected the embarrassing an offer from Frankfurt of 7 million and blocked the sale of players, stating that in Milan Hauge can only leave if someone now pays 20 million, and Pobega stays in Milan this season to see how much he can offer in the game because he is considered the most talented young midfielder in Milan . And this should be punished and banned from working for such journalists who write lies.

  3. i want fans near milano to wave banners of don’t go hauge and pobega in front of milan management especially in front of gazidis that guy just don’t understand what we should do. finances, finances and just finances. finances should be atleast quite flexible so that the club and players both are happy, if our top talent and future aspects just leave then we are nothing more than a spring board club, we cannot compete in champions league and my prediction is we will finish 6th this season if we let go our talents and young players and don’t sign any quality players. players who we are selling now would worth very high and we would just regret selling them.
