Milan have already brought in some reinforcements but their mercato isn’t over just yet, with a few positions still to be filled. As Soualiho Meite has concluded his loan spell, the Rossoneri need a new fourth-choice midfielder.
With the likes of Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessie and Sandro Tonali at Stefano Pioli’s disposal, it might not sound like much of a priority. However, the former two will take part in the AFCONs next year and will thus miss a few games.
As highlighted by MilanNews, evaluations are currently ongoing at Casa Milan with two options in mind: Tiemoue Bakayoko or Tommaso Pobega. The former, as we know, has already been at the club and would like to make a return.
Pobega spent last season on loan at Spezia and impressed a lot, showing that he has what it takes to play at Serie A level. Although Bakayoko arriving doesn’t necessarily mean the Italian would leave, the latter wouldn’t get enough playing time if so.
