MN: Milan expected to raise offer for Simakan – agreement with player already in place

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to raise their offer to Strasbourg for defender Mohamed Simakan soon to get the deal closed, a journalist claims.

It is seemingly no secret now that Milan have made Simakan their number one target for the January window as they look to reinforce a centre-back department which has been hit hard by injuries already so far this season.

Speculation from a number of sources over the weekend claimed that Milan had seen a bid of around €15m rejected for the 20-year-old Simakan, but that a new bid could soon be launched as the management want the player in and available as soon as possible.

According to the latest from Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan are expected to raise their offer to convince Strasbourg to sell Simakan.

While contacts with the player’s entourage are frequent, a verbal agreement has existed for some time between the club and the player.
