MN: Milan face transfer dilemma as they could lose defensive outcast for free

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the upcoming season, Milan are working hard on offloading some players and retaining the important ones. From the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the sale of Ricardo Rodriguez, they are not done yet.

According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews.it, the Rossoneri are looking to add a quality centre-back to the squad. However, this also means that they will have to make some space, with the likes of Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio exit-bound.

The Brazilian could move on loan as Milan haven’t explored his true potential yet, while the Argentine will be hard to part ways with. He’s currently struggling with an injury and it will be tough to find a suitor this summer.

In other words, he could stay at the club. The problem, though, is that his contract will expire in 2021 and the Rossoneri could thus lose him for free. If he doesn’t move now, the only option will be to sell him in January.
