MN: Milan may need FIGC and/or UEFA to save Champions League dream

AC Milan are now likely to miss out on the top four after yet another damaging defeat, this time at the hands of Spezia, but they might yet still get in the Champions League.

Pietro Mazzara writes in his column for MilanNews that in addition to having to amassed nine points in the next three games to close out the Serie A season, Milan must hope that Roma drop points so they are not overtaken by the Giallorossi.

Then, there is also the hope that the new punishment imposed on Juventus in the capital gains case will kicked the Bianconeri out of European competitions, and if the FIGC don’t do it then UEFA will, or at least ‘that’s what they say’.

The 29 points dropped against teams currently sat between 8th in the table and 20th are an enormity that cannot and must not go unnoticed when a line is drawn on the 2022-23 season.
