MN: Milan forced to make final decision on Kjaer within next ten days – the details

By Isak Möller -

Even during last night’s clash at the Olimpico, Simon Kjaer was one of the best on the pitch. Milan have the great opportunity of signing him on a permanent basis, but they will have to hurry up if they want him at the agreed price.

According to MilanNews.it, the buy-out clause in the Dane’s contract is valid until July 15th, although the loan will continue for the rest of the season. In other words, the Rossoneri will have to make a decision within the next ten days.

Should they exercise the clause, then they would pay €3.5m to Sevilla, which is the same amount that they paid to lock down Alexis Saelemaekers from Anderlecht. The current directors have given a positive opinion on the centre-back.

However, the decision will be up to the owners, especially since the future of some of the current directors hangs in the balance. That being said, it will be hard to find a replacement at the same price point.
