MN: Milan happy after a season of adaptation for Tonali – permanent deal will be completed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have absolutely no doubts about signing Sandro Tonali on a permanent basis and are happy with his first season, a report claims.

Milan pulled off a statement coup last summer when they landed Tonali from Brescia on a loan with option to buy deal, beating competition from several clubs for a midfielder that is very highly thought of.

As MilanNews writes, transferring from a relegated side to a team that found themselves in a title battle was never going to be an easy transition and for Tonali it was made more difficult by a less than optimal physical condition.

The impact that Tonali has made has so far been quite inconsistent but the general consensus is that he has improved as the season has gone on, with 22 league appearances plus another 8 in the Europa League and one in the Coppa Italia.

The Milan management is satisfied with his first season and knows that Tonali will be able to give much more in the future, and this is why his permanent arrival from Brescia is absolutely not in question. He came on a paid loan for €10m with option to buy set at €15m, plus the inclusion of €12m bonuses. In the summer, the Rossoneri will pay the money.
