MN: Milan have no doubts about investment in midfielder – €15m deal to be confirmed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have zero doubts regarding the future of Sandro Tonali and want to build around him for the future, according to a report.

Milan managed to snatch Tonali from under the noses of city rivals Inter during the last summer transfer window, sealing a statement signing as one of the most highly rated midfielders in Italy arrived on a loan with option to buy deal. His adaptation to a bigger club from Brescia has not gone seamlessly, but there general trend of his performances is upward.

According to MilanNews, it is a deal that was possible only thanks to the will of the player who had pushed hard to wear the Rossoneri shirt as a Milan fan. Tonali found himself facing a difficult season due to being late reporting for preseason and of course the natural transition from a struggling side to a top club.

The jump to a team in the fight for the Scudetto and a Champions League spot was not easy, but the club had planned a year of learning at certain levels, which is why Milan are satisfied with the work of the player and in the summer will exercise their option to buy.

Tonali arrived with the formula of a paid loan (€10m), with an option to buy set at €15m, plus the inclusion of €10m in bonuses linked to personal and team targets.

I think it was decided on the day when milan paid 10 mil upfront in loan fees and even if we wont qualify for cl i’m confident that the club always planned to get him even if that would mean selling someone else. All the people screaming for his head or even as hilariously funny suggesting to selling him just shows they are either bunkers or badly informed on the player and his loan deal. Fact is tonali is exactly the kind of player they want as he will only improve and his price will exponentially go upwards in the coming years if he stays fit. Add to that he is a milanista by heart so nobody should doubt or have doubted that it was always in the plans to keep him.

    Not just a Milanista,
The fact that he reminds me of ‘ The Beast Gattuso’ eliminates the try and luck we doing with ( Meite, Dalot, castillejo)
We signed him the moment he wore (no.8).
