MN: Milan hoping to make significant progress on three signings in next 48 hours

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are hoping to make progress on three different signings over the coming days, according to a report.

MilanNews report how replacing Kessie and Romagnoli is a big objective for Maldini and Massara after the signing of Charles De Ketelaere, and with the opening game of the season coming up on Saturday the days are ticking by fast.

Midfield: Raphael Onyedika of FC Midtjylland is the main target, and tonight he will be involved in the Champions League play-off round second leg against Benfica, with the Danish club having to overturn a 4-1 deficit. The 21-year-old falls within both the technical and economic parameters for the Rossoneri given he would cost €7m and from tomorrow, contacts between the two clubs could be intensified.

Defence: Abdoi Diallo is the favoured target due to his speed, physicality and his versatility given he can also play left-back. The PSG defender has not managed to carve out a key role and that is why Milan want a loan with an option to buy, but for now the Parisians are asking for a permanent sale or an obligation to buy. An acceleration on this front is also expected from tomorrow, with Tottenham’s Tangangna in the background.

Attack: In addition, developments are expected between tomorrow and Friday also on Tommaso Mancini, the 18-year-old Vicenza striker.

  1. I, for one, does not think that anything of note will happen in the next 48 hours. M/M are playing the waiting games, so that they can get the upper hand in the negotiations.

  2. Awful. I’d rather have nobody then these links. Stay as is. Don’t bring in trash just to have numbers. That’s how you end up with waste on your books.

  3. Same old news, Milan just going every where looking someone cheap to buy, just keep what we have, if we end up not doing well then the board will spend by force……nobody is going to vive you player for free, we could have thought about pir budget when we were spending 80% of it on the Belgium kid……damn tired of these stories, let the season just begin

  4. They must just sign the 18year old striker and that’s all, we can use bennacer, pobbega, tonali, krunic and additional for defensive midfield

  5. M/M I admire them for their inteligence and patience. Spending alot of money is not a guarantee to form a good team. History proofs me wright.
Milan has all the qualities to upbring excellent young players. Keep it up.

  6. We will get over this some day! Waiting till the last day to get cheap materials. The thought of it for a great club like Milan is sickening. Last season’s squad was not good enough for the champions league, now we are going back with no significant additions. Time will tell
