MN: Milan in complete crisis ahead of Atalanta game – five key men could be missing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face a defensive crisis on Friday night against one of the league’s best attacks as a number of players will miss the game.

During Tuesday night’s win over Sassuolo there were two worrying signs for Milan in the first half, as Andrea Conti made way early on due to a knee problem as he was replaced by Davide Calabria.

Then it was captain Alessio Romagnoli’s turn to limp off with a muscle problem, and head coach Stefano Pioli confirmed after the game that he is almost certain to miss the rest of the season.

According to MilanNews meanwhile, the condition of Simon Kjaer will also be assessed today, as he came out battered from last night’s match with Sassuolo.

Theo Hernandez will also not be present for the game against the league’s highest scorers as he picked up a yellow card and will be banned for the game at San Siro, as will Ismael Bennacer.
