MN: Milan in constant contact with agent of Ligue 1 starlet – first offer was rejected

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the summer transfer window, which has been postponed until September, AC Milan executives are working hard to identify potential targets on the market. By the looks of it, they have set their sights on a Ligue 1 starlet.

According to MilanNews.it, important confirmations have arrived regarding Milan’s strong interest for Wesley Fofana, the 19-year-old defender who plays for Saint Etienne. In fact, the Rossoneri have been following the player closely for a long time.

They even made an offer for Fofana in recent weeks, as the report continues, but the French side decided to turn it down. Milan aren’t ready to give up, though, currently in constant contact with the player’s agent to secure the operation.

The centre-back’s recently renewed his contract until 2024, expressing his gratitude towards the club that launched him. However, he is also ready to make the leap to a bigger club, but the offer will have to be right.
