MN: Milan record 29% increase in UCL matchday revenues – the figures

AC Milan have completed their three home group stage games for the 2023-24 edition of the Champions League and they were able to enjoy increased taking compared to last season.

As MilanNews reports, Milan’s cycle of home group games for this season ended with the 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund last week. A 0-0 draw against Newcastle United opened things up, while there was a 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the middle before the loss to the German side.

According to the official data communicated by the club, these three matches brought in a total of €18.7m in revenue, with the match against Paris Saint-Germain recording the highest revenue given it generated €7.7m.

There was an increase in revenues in the Champions League group stage compared to last year of 29%, all certainly due to a more exciting group than the one with Chelsea, Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb.

However, it can also be attributed to an increase in the prices of tickets on free sale and also of mini season tickets. A year ago Milan earned €14.5m from the three home games.
