MN: Milan-Inter expected to set box office record for a game in Italy

By Oliver Fisher -

The game between AC Milan and Inter tomorrow night at San Siro is heading towards being the highest grossing in terms of ticket revenue, a report claims.

MilanNews reports that the first leg of the Euroderby in the semi-finals of the Champions League between Milan and Inter scheduled for tomorrow night at 21:00 CEST will see the San Siro stadium obviously be sold out.

Not only that, but the higher than usual prices because of the magnitude of the game means that the proceeds are estimated at over €10m in terms of ticket sales.

If this figure is officially confirmed tomorrow evening, the record set by Milan’s first leg win over Tottenham will be broken, when the proceeds amounted to €9.1m.

Then, what remains to be seen is whether the second leg could break the record again, given that Inter have charge a bit more than their city rivals in terms of ticket pricing.
