MN: Milan keen on Russia international after several scouting missions but deal is on hold

AC Milan are keen on the idea of signing Aleksey Miranchuk from Lokomotiv Moscow this summer, it is claimed, with the possibility of a swap deal.

There has been speculation from a number of sources in the last 48 hours that there could be an axis developing between the Rossoneri and Lokomotiv, with two players involved.

The Russian club have been linked with a move for forgotten Milan defender Diego Laxalt, and there has been speculation in turn that Milan would like to sign Miranchuk to bolster their creative options.

According to Marco Ramiccia of MilanNews on Twitter, Miranchuk’s name is one that is welcome at Milan as the club have scouted him extensively over a number of months.

There was a meeting on Wednesday during which the agent of the Russia international was sent to discuss the exit of his client with the Rossoneri plus the possibly purchase of Laxalt by Lokomotiv.

However, there has to be a way of making the valuations stack up, and the exchange and all other talks have been postponed by 10 days and until the arrival of the new boss Ralf Rangnick.
