MN: Milan leaders to meet Giampaolo; Saturday’s game decisive

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Ricky Massara will meet with Marco Giampaolo and the AC Milan squad on Tuesday to dissect Sunday’s defeat, a report claims.

The Rossoneri lost their fourth game of the season as Fiorentina won 3-1 at San Siro thanks to goals from Erick Pulgar (penalty), Gaetano Castrovilli and Franck Ribery.

Milan have had their worst start to a season since 1938-39, and speculation is growing that Milan are getting ready to sack head coach Giampaolo.

Rudi GarciaAndriy ShevchenkoGennaro GattusoRoberto Donadoni and Claudio Ranieri have all been linked, as has Max Allegri.

According to the latest report from MilanNews.it, an important meeting will be held at Milanello on Tuesday in which the club’s directors will talk to the coach on the team.

An autopsy of the game against Fiorentina will be conducted, and then they will try to find the right way to try to win on Saturday night in Genoa.

The result could be decisive for Giampaolo’s future, the report claims, and failure to win would put his position ‘at great risk’, MilanNews concludes.
