MN: Milan make Chelsea defender the No.1 target; talks scheduled over extension of star man

By Oliver Fisher -

After the news that Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu will both return to training tomorrow, some more positive updates have arrived.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Milan are pushing to close a deal with Chelsea for centre-back Fikayo Tomori, who is a concrete target and is now the first choice to strengthen the Rossoneri rearguard.

In terms of renewals, after the very positive meeting with Gordon Stipic over Hakan Calhanoglu’s new contract (from which great optimism has filtered), a meeting is scheduled for Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract situation.

During that meeting the club will discuss and hopefully try and close the extension of the 21-year-old Italy international. Both he and Calhanoglu are under contract until June of this year which has caused some impatience among the fanbase given that both could effectively sign pre-contract agreements elsewhere, but the signs are positive.
