MN: Milan’s revolutionised midfield and the missing ingredient who is on the way

AC Milan’s midfield is looking totally different to last season and has the potential to be one of the best in the division, with one key player who is yet to be thrown into the mix.

As has been explained by Milan News, the area of the squad that underwent the most change in the summer transfer window was the midfield and it now looks very different to last season.

Whilst form has not been great in recent weeks, the midfield has certainly been the strongest section of the team with players like Yunus Musah, Tijjani Reijnders, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Yacine Adli all playing important roles.

There are two things that could make the midfield an even stronger part of the squad: If Reijnders were to start scoring goals, and the return of Ismael Bennacer to the fray.

He would add extra energy and tackling to the starting eleven, although it is not clear who he would oust when he returns.
