Tommaso Pobega is recovering from the rib fracture he suffered eight days ago and updates on his condition have arrived from Milanello today. In fact, it seems he has a specific game in mind for his return.
The midfielder suffered the injury in training and has since been working hard to recover, but it’s a recovery that cannot be rushed. According to MilanNews, he continued his individual work today and the aim is to be back for Milan-Inter.
Obviously, it’s unlikely that he will participate in that game as Stefano Pioli relies heavily on Sandro Tonali, Rade Krunic and Ismael Bennacer. Having said that, though, an appearance off the bench perhaps shouldn’t be ruled out.
The schedule is very tight in this season finale and Pobega will certainly be needed in the league, as Milan will have to rotate just the right amount of players to both preserve energy but also secure a top-four finish.
