MN: Milan monitoring Fiorentina man in bid to assist squad list composition

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are reportedly looking at Italian players they could potentially sign that are useful for the UEFA squad list, including one at Fiorentina.

UEFA squad list regulations state that there must be a certain number of academy products called up for the Champions League (or Europa/Conference League) plus a certain amount of home-grown players, which is those that were brought through academies in that country.

MilanNews reports that Maldini and Massara are monitoring some Italian players that could help the cause for next season when the squad list must be composed again, and Pietro Terracciano of Fiorentina is on their list.

His contract is expiring with La Viola, and there is a distance between the parties which is quite significant given he is asking for €1m net per season to renew.

Moreover, the relationship between his agent Federico Pastorello and the Fiorentina management was heavily damaged during Moena’s retirement, so the 32-year-old is a name to be monitored.
