AC Milan must demonstrate their true style and identity against Napoli on Sunday night to answer their doubters, according to a report.
As MilanNews writes, the Rossoneri certainly have some alibis when it comes to the drop off in their levels of performances such as the injury crisis and the fatigue that results from a lack of depth plus a hectic schedule, but Pioli’s Milan have also lost that exciting and free-flowing style of play that has excited supporters.
The treatment room must now be fitted with revolving doors by this point because as soon as one player recovers it seems another gets injured. Young players in the group and those considered as back-ups have done a fantastic job keeping the team right in the Scudetto battle, but eventually a fit squad will be needed given the demanding style of play.
Milan’s best bet for a resurgence is to restore their precise playing philosophy. With the likes of Kjaer, Leao, Rebic and Calabria all out it is tough, but in order to beat Spalletti’s side the Rossoneri must be direct, fast and above all clinical. A large San Siro crowd are waiting to be entertained.

Maybe a little bit of unpredictability would do the trick. Like calling Kerkez to play left back and pushing Theo further up the pitch, or using wing backs but of course this guy is deeply rooted to his 4-2-3-1 formation. I just feel we need to do things differently and try to adapt the available players we have due to injuries. If there’s a time to try something new, I think it’s now cuzyou can always blame a loss on thee injuries. Instead of playing catchup, I think it’s time we started playing for keeps.
