MN: Milan need to raise offer to sign No.1 defensive target – the situation and the alternative

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will have to raise their offer if they are to land Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg amid competition from RB Leipzig, a report claims.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Leipzig have now matched the Rossoneri’s offer for the 20-year-old defender by giving the French club the green light for him to stay there until the end of the season.

It is expected that the Bundesliga club will sell their own young French centre-back in Dayot Upamecano during the summer, hence why Leipzig are willing to leave him in Alsace until preseason.

Milan want him immediately, but in order to do so they will have to get closer to the €20million requested by Strasbourg, with the Ligue 1 side refusing to budge from their initial demands. The alternative is Ozan Kabak of Schalke, who always keeps the door open for the Rossoneri.
