Filippo Scotti has undoubtedly been one of the most promising players in AC Milan’s academy in the past few seasons, but now he could leave the club for free.
Scotti made 42 appearances across all competitions for Milan this past season, wearing the captain’s armband for the Primavera side. He got ten goals and four assists, which for him was a tad low, but he played an important role even when he didn’t find the back of the net.

He has often been mentioned as one of the most promising players in Milan’s academy, one they should build on for the future, and we can only agree. At the age of 19, he has an impressive size and the leadership skills are evident, almost setting an example for his teammates.
No contact with Milan
Despite the positive performances in recent years, Scotti could end up leaving Milan this summer, according to MilanNews. His contract will expire at the end of the month and he was expecting the Rossoneri to reach out, starting negotiations over a new deal.

However, he hasn’t heard anything yet and various clubs have initiated contacts with his entourage. Sudtirol are one of them, playing in Serie B, while the third-tier sides Reggiana and Pescara have also expressed an interest.
Let’s hope Milan initiate talks with the Primavera captain because losing him for free would be a massive blow.
