MN: Milan’s probable XI to face Cagliari – alterations in each department

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli seems to have made his selection decisions in view of tomorrow evening’s game against Cagliari.

According to MilanNews, Marco Sportiello will remain in goal with Mike Maignan not called up as the intention is not to rush his return. Theo Hernandez should return at left-back, allowing the switch back to a 4-3-3 with Alessandro Florenzi, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori toill complete the rearguard.

In midfield, Rade Krunic’s injury means that a first start of the season should come for Yacine Adli. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders are expected to flank him.

Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao will rest which gives a chance to a revolutionised attacking trio made up of entirely new signings: Christian Pulisic on the left, Samuel Chukwueze on the right and Noah Okafor up front.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Sportiello; Florenzi, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Loftus-Cheek, Adli, Reijnders; Pulisic, Okafor, Chukwueze.

Bench: Mirante, Nava; Calabria, Pellegrino, Bartesaghi; Pobega, Musah; Giroud, Leao, Romero.

  1. Pioli should stop playing loftus cheeky,he should Rather play musah he is better that thing from Chelsea. Pioli must change his tattics of play now f

  2. Nice line up. My ideal midfield would be Reijnders RLC Musah. But Adli would do. Should be a convincing display at least. Hope Pioli doesn’t wake up in the morning changing his mind again to start Leao and Giroud in some fckd up formation

  3. OK. Nice rotation .
This lineup has to get the W.
No excuses when you play vs. probably the worst team in the league.
Hopefully Adli looks good in the new role
