MN: Milan remain interested in Chelsea midfielder who would be glad to return – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

A name that continues to be repeatedly linked with AC Milan is Tiemoue Bakayoko, and his candidacy as a new signing will not go away.

As MilanNews writes, Milan will face Real Madrid on Sunday night with only two midfielders available, given the absences of Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie. It will be an exercise to see how Tommaso Pobega has adapted to the double pivot plus how Sandro Tonali continues to develop, but a fourth midfielder who is a natural defensive midfielder is expected to arrive.

Bakayoko could be that man as his name has never been crossed off the list of targets, while the Frenchman has always been open to a return to the club. The obstacle is that Chelsea would like to sell the player outright to raise funds, but the Rossoneri would like a loan, so it is likely that the operation will only be unlocked at the end of the month.

Bakayoko played more than 40 games last year and given that Bennacer and Kessie will leave for the African Cup of Nations in January, his experience could be valuable.
