MN: Milan resume contacts over Strasbourg star – player wants Rossoneri move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made new contacts with the entourage of Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan, according to a report.

It is no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer as they have been suggestions that Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte could leave, while Matteo Gabbia could be loaned out and there is a chance Simon Kjaer may not be signed permanently.

It was reported by MilanNews back in April that Milan have set their sights on Simakan, a 19-year-old who plays for Strasbourg, with contacts held between Milan and the player’s entourage.

RMC Sport added that Milan made an attempt to sign Simakan in January and were unsuccessful, but the idea is to return to negotiating table with an offer of €15million.

According to the latest from MilanNews, the dialogues were interrupted for a period but the player is still interested in the move.

Regardless of the outcome of the negotiation, the defender wants to join Milan and there have been new contacts, with Milan keen because he can play both centre-back and right-back, plus he has an affordable asking price.
