MN: Milan show heart and character to come back against Juve but may have regrets

By Oliver Fisher -

A day after the 1-1 draw against Juventus, the reflections continue for AC Milan after what many to consider to be a point gained.

Despite this, MilanNews writes that can have some regrets about the game, albeit not regrets aimed so much at the final result of the match but rather at having come into the game with one less day of rest than Juventus, and having numerous absences due to injuries. The feeling is that if Milan had had all their squad available, they could have won.

The draw had some positives though, such as the fact Juve are now in the bottom three and remain 8 points behind Milan after 4 games, having amassed just 2 points thus far. Pioli’s team once again showed they have heart and character to come back after a defeat like the one against Liverpool last Wednesday and they showed that they can compete with the strongest opponents not matter what the circumstances were.

Allegri in his pre-match press conference tried to put more pressure on Milan than his team had, declaring: “Juventus-Milan is more important for the Rossoneri than for us.” It is obvious that this was not the case, and Ante Rebic’s late equaliser might make him rethink his mind games in future.

  1. There is one great positive here, before taking a draw in a game that we were losing for 80+ minutes would have been a huge success, but now, we are in a very different, I would call it even comfortable position to consider that a disappointing result. We have come a long way in the last year or two. I am so proud of our boys.

  2. This why Milan will not win any trophy with the mediocre coach Pioli.

He can’t win against a venurable Juventus team

    Big Shame
