MN: Milan hoping to sign a defender and sell one before window closes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been the busiest of any Serie A side but their business is not done, with more signings and exits still expected to come.

According to the latest from Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan consider themselves a little bit short in the centre-back role where only Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw, Pierre Kalulu and Simon Kjaer currently only count as options.

In addition to the exit of Matteo Gabbia on loan to Villarreal, there are doubts about Kjaer’s physical state and Kalulu has often been used as a right-back as well. That is why the management are looking for a new defender.

Work is still being done on sale as well. After the farewells of Ante Rebic, Junior Messias and Charles DeKetelaere, talks are ongoing between Werder Bremen and Milan over the sale of Fode Ballo-Toure.

The hope is to offload players not deemed part of the plans to free up salary and a spot in the squad for new signings.

  1. I’ll say it again, Rafael Toloi. A 5th choice CB doesn’t have to be expensive. He’s Italian-Brazilian, and a National Team player.

    1. WTF is Simić?! I’m asking honestly, haven’t got a clue which player you’re talking about.
Where does he play?! What’s his experience?! What has he done thus far?!… etc, etc…
      Tell us/me something about him….!
